This is an opportunity for you to be involved with our Recreation Vehicle Parts and Accessory department.

In this position you will be helping our customers find exciting toys and helpful gadgets for their travel trailer or fifth wheel. You will also be working with our suppliers by placing orders to resupply our store. Other duties include receiving, and pricing parts, then setting up the display of those parts in the accessory store.

The successful candidate doesn't need experience, as we will train the right person. This person should have good listening skills, be interested in solving problems, have a good telephone manner, be capable with a computer, and be comfortable dealing with the public. The right person will project a neat, professional impression. Good sales skills will be required which means you want to help people solve their problem in an honest and sincere manner with the products we offer. As we are a retail store you will be expected to work every second Saturday. To give our staff an opportunity for family time we are closed all three days of every long weekend with the exception of the Easter long weekend when we are open on Saturday.

The family has talked about this vacation all winter long. The kids each have chosen their own bunk bed. The RV is packed and ready to go. Then disaster strikes something isn’t working, the vacation may have to be cancelled.

Here is where the Lardners Certified RV technician saves the day. We sell RVs, which means we sell great vacations. Our RV technicians solve the problems that occasionally pop up, they install accessories and towing equipment, they are the ones that keep Dad in the kid’s good books. They have skills in electrical, plumbing, gas, carpentry and many other areas. Creativity, organization, and a “Can Do” attitude are always present.

You don’t need to be an experienced RV technician, just the right basic skills and attitude. We will provide training for the rest, upon completion the right candidate will become a Certified RV Technician. Pay is mostly hourly wage plus a portion based on performance. We also have a benefit plan. As we are a retail store you will be expected to work some Saturdays. Our customers are out having fun, but something isn't quite right with their RV. Sometimes it is minor, sometimes it could be mean a vacation that turns to disaster. You could be the person that saves the day! The Service Writer at Lardners Trailer Sales is the first contact in solving the problem. You gather information from the customer, create the repair order, estimate repairs, complete paper work, and collect payment upon completion of work. Working with the customer, parts department, and our technicians your goal is to have a happy customer in combination with a highly efficient Service department.

The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, be well organized, and be a good listener. Although not necessary, experience that would help are familiarity with recreation vehicles, a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and RV construction. Familiarity with both computer and written systems will help. The successful candidate doesn't need experience, as we will train the right person.
